If you are researching all online Quran classes for your child, the real question is not about apps or platforms. It is this: who will be teaching my child, and can I trust them?

Who these classes are for (three starting points)

Parents come to us in three situations. You will likely recognize yours.

  • Your child is of age

Your child is of age and it is time to start Quran. Usually somewhere between 4 and 8. You want them to begin gently, with a teacher who is patient with wobbly attention and small victories.

  • They were learning before, but discontinued

Life got busy, classes slipped, and now you want to restart. The teacher places your child where they actually are and builds from there, without judgment and without starting from zero unless it genuinely helps.

  • The previous teacher’s teaching pattern was not good

Sometimes a child and a teacher simply do not click, or progress quietly stalls. We hear this often, and we do not need the details. What matters is where your child goes from here.

In all three situations, the answer is the same: a patient one-on-one teacher, and 2 free trial classes so you can see the fit for yourself.

The teacher question: who teaches your child

How do you know an online Quran teacher is safe for your child? You watch them teach. That is why every family at Taqwa Foundation starts with 2 free trial classes, and why parents may sit in on any class, for as long as they like. Most parents sit in at the start and step back when they are comfortable.

Behind that promise is process. Nobody is even considered without a personal reference, and after that comes a background check, testing, and months of supervised probation before they teach your child. Our qualified teachers include male and female teachers, so daughters can learn with female teachers if you prefer.

And if your child does not click with a teacher, you simply tell us. Ask at any time, for any reason or none, and it costs nothing.

We are a US-registered business with local payments in the US, Canada, New Zealand and Australia, and you can meet our teachers before you book.

What kids learn, and where they start

Most children start with Noorani Qaida, the step-by-step foundation that takes them from recognizing letters, to joining words, to reading on their own. From there they move into reading with tajweed (clear, correct pronunciation), and then the short surahs of juz amma, the ones children love to recite at home and in prayer.

For children ready to memorize, there is Quran memorization (hifz) for kids, taught one-on-one at a child’s pace.

What does progress look like? Children move at genuinely different speeds, and any school that promises you a date is guessing. What we will do is tell you honestly where your child is: their teacher reports after every month, and you can sit in on any class and hear it yourself.

How kids' classes work around a family

Kids’ classes are 30 minutes: long enough to make real progress, short enough for a child’s attention span. You choose 2, 3, or 5 classes per week, or weekends only.

Classes run after school and in the evening across US, UK, Canadian, Australian, and New Zealand time zones, on Zoom, Skype, Google Meet, or WhatsApp. If a time stops working, it changes. Rescheduling is normal here.

You will receive a reminder the day before each class and another an hour before, because we know your day is full. A member of our team calls to welcome you after booking, and most parents handle everything after that over WhatsApp text, in the gaps between the school run and dinner.

How parents see progress

You will never have to wonder how your child is doing. Teachers send regular progress updates, and the milestones are ones you can hear: letters, then joined words, then a small surah read aloud at the dinner table.

You are also welcome in the room. Many parents sit beside their child for the first weeks, and some keep sitting in for months. Both are completely normal.

What parents tell us:

My daughter is 6 and very shy with new people. First two classes she barely said a word. Her ustadha was so gentle with her, by the third class she was reading out loud.

The teacher is very patient with my son who is not an easy kid to keep seated lol. She repeats the same thing 10 times without getting annoyed. That is not something I can do myself so Alhamdulillah for her.

What kids' classes cost

Kids’ classes use our standard pricing.

Monthly pricing for kids' classes, 30 minutes each. Three and four classes a week sit between these two; we quote it on your welcome call.
Weekly rhythmPer monthSuits
2 classes per week$55A gentle start while a young child finds the routine.
5 classes per week$85Faster progress once the routine is holding.

Siblings change the math. Two children learning together: 25% off the household total. Three or more: 50% off. For a family booking 2 or 3 children, this is often the difference between “maybe later” and “yes, start this week.”

Yes. A personal reference is required before anyone is considered, then a background check, then testing, then supervised probation. You may sit in on any class, and we are a US-registered business with local payments.

Can I sit with my child during class?

Yes, for as long as you like. Most parents sit in at the start and step back when they are comfortable. Your child is never rushed.

My child learned before and stopped. Can they restart?

Tell us and we change the teacher. Any time, any reason or none, no charge.

How long are kids' classes, and how many per week?
