Terms of service
These terms cover booking and taking classes with Taqwa Foundation. By booking a class you agree to them.
Two decisions still sit with a lawyer
This page is a structure, not finished legal text. It sets out the terms the business actually operates on: monthly subscriptions by weekly class frequency, household discounts, two free trial classes, readjustable scheduling, and no contract.
A qualified adviser must turn it into enforceable terms before launch. Consumer law in the UK, EU, Canada, Australia and New Zealand may override several clauses below for students living there.
Taqwa Foundation trades as a DBA registered in Texas, USA, at 17214 E Stratford Pointe Dr, Sugar Land, TX 77498.The trial classes
Your first two classes are free. We do not take payment details to book them, and there is no obligation to continue afterwards.
The trial is one booking per student. If a family wants a second trial for the same student later on, ask us. Circumstances change and we would rather you started again properly than not at all.
Booking and scheduling
You book by submitting the form on this site. We confirm by email and SMS, then a member of our team calls to confirm the time and answer questions.
-
Your times can change
You can readjust your schedule as often as you need, by message rather than negotiation. There is no minimum notice to move a class and no penalty for short notice. Tell us when you can and we will move it.
-
Missed classes
If a student does not attend, we get in touch to ask what happened and offer to reschedule. Some families reschedule, some prefer to continue at the next class.
-
Teacher absence
If a teacher cannot attend, we reschedule the class or provide a substitute. We tell you as early as we can and offer a substitute so the student does not lose momentum, and your own teacher resumes when they return.
Classes
Classes are live, one-to-one, and 30 minutes as standard, with longer sessions on senior and advanced courses. They are taught over Zoom, Skype, Google Meet, or WhatsApp, at your choice.
Parents and guardians are welcome to attend any class.
We do not record classes as a matter of course. A minor’s class is recorded only when their guardian asks us to, and an adult student’s only with their own agreement. Nobody is ever recorded without being told first. A recording is kept only for the reason it was made, and a guardian can have their child’s recording deleted the moment they ask. Our privacy policy covers what happens to them.
Fees and payment
Fees are monthly, set by how many classes a week the student takes, and vary by course. Current prices are shown on each course page.
Household discounts: 25% off the total for two students, 50% off for three or more.
Payment is taken monthly, for most families between the 1st and the 5th. We accept credit and debit cards, PayPal, and local payment methods in the countries we teach in. Card details are handled by the payment processor and never stored by us. If a payment fails, classes carry on and we contact you to sort it out.
There is no minimum term and no contract.
Changing or cancelling
You can cancel at any time. Tell your teacher, message the office, or call us. There is no notice period, and if you leave partway through a month you have paid for, we refund you.
See our refund and cancellation policy for how money is handled.
Changing teachers
If a teacher is not the right fit, tell us and we will rematch the student. This is a normal request and there is no charge for it.
What we expect, and what you can expect
-
From students and families
Attend booked classes, or tell us in advance when you cannot. Treat teachers with respect. An adult books and is responsible for the account where the student is a child. Abuse of a teacher ends the classes immediately. This runs both ways: a teacher who is abusive toward a student is dismissed. Respect here is not conditional on who is paying.

From us
A qualified teacher, vetted before they teach. Classes at the times agreed, with reminders the day before and the hour before. Honest information about progress: we describe timelines as typical, never guaranteed. No claim about a teacher’s credentials that we have not verified.
Things we do not promise
We do not guarantee that a student will reach a particular level in a particular time. Progress depends on the student, the practice they do between classes, and how consistently they attend.
Intellectual property
The Quran and the hadith belong to everyone and we claim nothing over them. What is ours is the teaching pathway we built and the way we sequence and deliver it. Materials we give you are for your own study and your family’s, not for redistribution or resale.
The Taqwa Foundation name and logo belong to us.
Liability
Two honest limits, and one thing we will not limit.
What we do not promise. We do not guarantee that a student reaches a particular level in a particular time. Progress depends on the student, on practice between classes, and on attendance. Classes are provided as they are, and we are not responsible for your own internet connection, device or software failing.
The cap. Where we are liable to you, our liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the problem arose.
What we do not try to exclude. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law in your country reserves.
Complaints
If something goes wrong, tell us first. Email [email protected] or call +1 (888) 258-8858. We come back to you within 48 hours.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the State of Texas, and disputes go to the courts of Texas. Where you live may give you the right to bring a claim locally instead, and consumer protection rules in the UK, EU, Canada, Australia and New Zealand may apply to you regardless of what this clause says.
Our teachers work from Pakistan as contractors. That does not change who you are contracting with: your agreement is with the Texas business, and it is the Texas business that answers to you.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms we will update the date at the top of this page. Where a change is material we tell active families as well, rather than relying on you to notice a new date.
