Quran classes for kids
For children from around age 4, our largest group of students. You can meet the teacher free, sit in on any class for as long as you like, and watch the teaching yourself before paying anything.

Choosing Quran classes online means trusting someone you have never met with something that matters deeply to your family. This page shows you exactly what our classes are, who teaches them, how your first class happens, and what it costs, so you can decide with your eyes open.

A Taqwa online Quran class is a private, live lesson: one qualified teacher, one student, meeting face to face over video. Your teacher hears every letter you read and corrects you in the moment, the way a teacher sitting beside you would.
Students learn reading, recitation with tajweed (the rules of clear, correct pronunciation), and memorization, from complete beginners through to advanced students. We have taught this way since 2009. More than 5,500 students have learned with us, and qualified male and female teachers teach the classes.
Because every class is one-on-one, the pace is yours: quick where you are strong, patient where you need it.
Most students in these classes follow one of our courses, each with its own page, method, and pricing:
recitation with correct pronunciation, step by step.
memorizing the Quran by heart with a personal teacher.
the typical starting point for children and beginners.
understanding the language of the Quran.
advanced recitation leading to certification.
Online Quran classes at Taqwa Foundation serve four kinds of students. Children from around age 4 are the largest group: parents choose these classes because they can meet the teacher free and sit in on any lesson. Adults fit 30-minute classes around work and family, in the early morning, evening, or on weekends. Beginners start with no Arabic assumed at all; reading is built letter by letter. Sisters can learn with a qualified female teacher in a sisters-only, one-on-one setting. Every student, in every group, learns live and one-on-one with their own teacher. We have taught all four groups since 2009, across the US, UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

For busy professionals, parents, and anyone returning to Quran after years away. Classes run around your working day, and you can reschedule any time.

No Arabic is assumed, none at all. You start with the alphabet and build up letter by letter, at a pace your teacher adjusts to you.

Learn with a qualified female teacher, one-on-one, from the privacy of your home. Mothers also choose female teachers for their daughters.
Here is exactly what happens, from booking to first class. You fill in a short form: who the classes are for, your time zone, and how you would like to meet (Zoom, Skype, Google Meet, or WhatsApp). You receive a confirmation by email and SMS. We assign a teacher matched to the student: a child, an adult, or a sister requesting a female teacher. A member of our team then calls to welcome you, answer your questions, and confirm the class time. Before every class you receive two reminders, one the day before and one an hour before. Then you meet your teacher online for the first of your 2 free trial classes. No payment is taken at any point in this process. The trials exist so you can judge the teaching yourself before spending anything.
Classes run from 30 to 90 minutes, depending on the course and what suits the student. Thirty minutes is our minimum, because nothing shorter teaches anything properly. You choose how many classes a week.
Your schedule is not locked in. If work shifts or school terms change, your class times change with them. Rescheduling is part of how the classes work, not a favor.
We teach families across the US, UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Because your booking form captures your time zone, your teacher’s availability is built around your clock, not ours. Evening and weekend slots are available in every country we serve.
Book your 2 free trial classes: no payment, no obligation, and you meet the teacher first.
The classes are taught by qualified male and female teachers, including teachers who hold ijazah, a certified chain of recitation running back to the Prophet ﷺ.
You do not have to take our word for any of this. The 2 free trial classes exist so you can meet your teacher, watch them teach, and decide for yourself before paying anything. You can also meet our teachers on the faculty page.

Families stay with us for years, and the reasons are practical.
5,500+ students taught since 2009 · classes 24/7, in every timezone · male & female teachers, your preference respected
We have been with Taqwa Foundation for almost 2 years now. The consistency is what I appreciate most. Same teacher, same time every week, no drama. My older one just finished Juz Amma.
My daughter is 6 and very shy with new people. First two classes she barely said a word. Her ustadha was so gentle with her, by the third class she was reading out loud.
Online Quran classes start at $55/month for 2 classes a week, rising to $85/month for 5. Courses with their own methods, such as hifz and ijazah, carry their own pricing on their course pages.
| Weekly rhythm | Per month | Suits |
|---|---|---|
| 2 classes per week | $55 | Starting out, or a young child finding a routine. |
| 5 classes per week | $85 | Fastest progress, and the usual choice for hifz. |
Households learning together pay less: 2 students get 25% off the total, 3 or more get 50% off. There is no contract, and you can cancel anytime. You pay a US-registered business, with local payment options in the US, Canada, New Zealand and Australia.
Some families cannot afford classes. Through our sponsor-a-student option, a donor covers a child's monthly fee. If you would like to sponsor a child, mention it when you book or ask our team.
Yes. Every class is one-on-one, so the teacher’s attention stays on your child for the full lesson, and parents may sit in on any class. See how we teach Quran classes for kids.
