If you are a sister learning for yourself, whether you are a complete beginner, returning after years away, working on your tajweed, or memorizing, you will learn one-on-one with a qualified female teacher, from home, at times that fit your household.
If you are a mother choosing a teacher for your daughter, you can request a female teacher for her, and sit in on her classes for as long as you like.
Female teachers are a normal part of our team, and we have taught sisters and daughters this way since 2009.
How do you find a female Quran teacher online? At Taqwa Foundation, you simply ask at booking, and a female teacher is guaranteed whenever you ask for one. Nothing is assumed and nothing is forced: where a family states no preference, we match on availability.

We match you with a female teacher before your first trial class, then a member of our team calls to welcome you and confirm the time.
You meet your teacher in 2 free trial classes, and continue only if it feels right.
If the match is not right, you say so. Ask for a different teacher at any time, for any reason or none, and it costs nothing. No payment is taken before the trials, so you never pay to find out.

A ladies’ class is one teacher and one student. There is no classroom of strangers and no one else listening. You learn from your own home, on Zoom, Skype, Google Meet, or WhatsApp, in a space that is yours.
The student’s camera is always optional. We encourage it because it makes the class more engaging for both sides, but no one is ever required to turn it on, and nobody will ask twice.
For daughters, the sit-in policy applies in full: a mother may sit in on any class, for as long as she likes. Many mothers sit in for the first weeks and step back when their daughter is settled.

Classes are 30 minutes, 2, 3, or 5 times per week, with a weekend-only option. Morning and evening slots are available across US, UK, Canadian, Australian, and New Zealand time zones.
Timing is readjustable any time. When the children’s school term changes, when Ramadan comes, when life shifts, your schedule shifts with it. You will receive a reminder the day before each class and an hour before, and most sisters handle everything with our team over WhatsApp text, whenever they have a moment.
I sit nearby during classes and I like what I hear. The teacher corrects her makhraj properly but in a kind way, she never makes her feel bad for mistakes. For my daughter a female teacher was a must and Alhamdulillah we found a good one.
As a single working mom the evening timings saved us. Her teacher is wonderful, very soft spoken but firm when she needs to be. My daughter's tajweed has improved so much that her weekend school teacher asked me where she studies.
